It’s usually quite quiet here, but for the occasional motorcycle or gunshot – or calf calling out for its mother – however today has brought us a very noisy southerly wind which is making it impossible to even attempt capturing something on tape.
So I’ve attempted to use the time I have today wisely, with the help of my ancient Rhythm Ace.
Playing in a strict tempo or rhythm has never been my strong point, so I’m attempting to at least improve this area of my performance. I’m currently set up, tempo-wise, for a re-imagined (as they say) version of Sea of Love, which you can find at least one other version of hereabouts if you use the search function.
I’ve always imagined this song far more acoustically driven than the version that made the first album, but with maybe just a touch of woodwind or harmonium, so here is my chance.
As ever, we’ll see… but at least it might turn out with some discernible rhythmic structure… maybe.
