Update: Over the weekend we received more of your generous support and offers of assistance.
We remain overwhelmed and thankful.
There is still a lot to do.
The waves of memories and attendant realisations of loss continue and I expect will do so for some time.
The worst part is the stocktake of lost items that keeps running through my brain and the realisation that so much we had is irreplaceable.
It’s going to be another busy day, but I must take a minute to particularly thank Emily once again, along with those of you you helped fill her car up with necessities, curiosities and some wonderful, wonderful surprises.
You know who you are, thank you.
I must also mention my lovely wonderful sister, Helen and her husband Stephen who drove up yesterday with yet more essentials, and Jared without whom we wouldn’t have managed to get the job done.
We hope to begin to settle and make a new home and start a new book of memories later this week.
